As with everything in today’s economy, the cost of doing business and holding our consignment events continues to rise. The cost of advertising, payroll, insurance, supplies, etc. continues to increase. We have tried hard to not increase registration fees or percentages paid by you, the consigner, because we appreciate you and your loyalty to mom2mom and we want you to earn as much income as possible from our events. We pride ourselves on being the highest paying consignment event in Pensacola as well as charging you, the consigner, the lowest registration fees when compared to the other sales in our area. That being said, we have to do something to help us generate more funds to pay these increased costs in order to stay in business. We have been working with the MyCM software creators to implement a new feature which will help us to recoup some of these costs. The new system will add a surcharge on each item that sells, passing the cost to customers so that you as a consigner do not have to pay increased registration fees or earn lower percentages on your sales. As always, it is our goal to bring you the best consignment event in Pensacola and we will continue to work for you to have an easy, organized and profitable experience with mom2mom. We appreciate your continued business and support!!
What’s NEW?
The new system is going to add 50¢ to each tag printed. That extra 50¢ will be paid to mom2mom. For example, if you enter an item to cost $1.00, the tag will print with a price of $1.50. You will be paid your 65% of the $1.00 price you entered into the system as always and mom2mom will keep the 50¢ added if that item sells.
What you need to know:
You MUST reprint ALL of your tags. This new system requires a different barcode format so you will need to print a new tag so that the new barcode system is on your tags.
*What happens if you do NOT reprint your tags and leave the “old” tags on your items?
The system will SUBTRACT the 50¢ from your tag total. So if your item is priced at $1.00 and you DO NOT reprint your tag, the system will subtract the 50¢ so you would only get paid 65% of the remaining 50¢.
*How do I know if a tag if “old” or “new” by looking at it?
--We are going to have a new tag layout so you should be able to identify quickly that your tag is the “old” format or the “new” format. Our new format will be a horizontal tag and it will say “mom2mom Kid Resale Event” at the top of the tag.
--The “old” barcodes have a long set of numbers under the barcode that look something like this: 4633-28-2.00-1
--The “new” barcodes will have an encoded mix of letters and numbers that look something like this:
m-1932223-23f-1-32
*If you have already printed a tag but you decide to make a change to an item (change the price,
discount yes/no or donate yes/no), you MUST reprint the tag.
Unlike the “old” system, Items will be sold based on the price and settings shown on the printed tag, NOT the information that is online so if you do not reprint your tag, the information on the printed tag will be what the computer reads and registers and that is what you will be paid your percentage from.
Handwritten changes on tags WILL NOT be honored!
*You will notice items marked “Donate”will no longer have a “D” on the bottom right of the tag, but will have a black dot that appears on the bottom right of the tag.
*Incorrect tags create confusion for the customers and slow down the checkout process.
Consigners that do not follow the directions and bring more than 5 incorrect tags to the event will be charged a $10 service fee that will be deducted from your consigner check.
